Chris Colwill

A Senior Lawyer at Queenland Family Law Practice, Chris Colwill has helped clients achieve social justice for over 25 years. Chris was admitted as a solicitor in November 1994 and predominantly practices in the areas of Family Law, Criminal Law, Sport Law, Wills and Estate Law.

As a former Australian representative in athletics, Chris has a keen interest in Sports Law. He has advised and represented athletes and sporting organisations in matters such as contractual negotiations, tribunal hearings, ASADA and WADA testing issues. With decades of experience, Chris has assisted and represented a variety of sporting groups and athletes from elite international and Australia level through to local level clubs and groups.

Known for his empathy and compassion Chris has received numerous recognitions and awards for his expertise and community legal services.

Chris loves running and general fitness. Married for over 20 years he has 2 adult children. When Chris is not running or with his family, he will be enjoying a coffee and anything to do with sport.
