What Our Clients Say About Us
High-Net-Worth Divorce Services
Asset Protection and Division
During a high-net-worth divorce, safeguarding assets is paramount. At QFLP, we work diligently to protect all valuable assets, including real estate and luxury collections. Our team ensures these assets are accurately valued and fairly distributed, while also assessing risks related to asset transfers, mitigating potential future losses.
Business and Corporate Assets
For clients who own businesses or hold significant corporate shares, dividing such assets can be one of the most challenging aspects of divorce. We collaborate with corporate lawyers and financial experts to ensure businesses are either retained by the client or equitably divided. Our aim is to avoid disruption to your company while securing a settlement that reflects its true value.
Complex Financial Settlements
We are experienced in negotiating and concluding settlements involving significant financial assets, such as superannuation, stock portfolios, and complex trust funds. Our firm addresses all financial aspects of your divorce thoroughly, helping you avoid costly mistakes or oversights.
International Assets and Offshore Accounts
Divorces involving international assets can be particularly intricate. At QFLP, we have the expertise to navigate cross-jurisdictional laws and assist with the division of offshore assets and foreign properties. Our firm will manage the legal complexities of international property settlements, ensuring your rights and interests are protected globally.
Trusts and Inherited Wealth
In high-net-worth divorces, inherited wealth and family trusts often play a key role. We understand the importance of preserving family wealth and can advise on strategies to protect these assets during divorce proceedings. Our lawyers ensure that any wealth inherited during the marriage is fairly addressed within the settlement.
Superannuation Splitting
Superannuation funds can represent a significant portion of a high-net-worth individual’s assets. We work with clients to evaluate and fairly divide these funds, ensuring both parties receive appropriate entitlements.
Tax Implications and Financial Planning
Divorces can have substantial tax implications, especially for high-net-worth individuals. Our firm offers advice on reducing tax liabilities related to asset division and financial settlements. We also work with financial planners to help you prepare for your financial future post-divorce.
Confidentiality and Discretion
At QFLP, we recognise the need for privacy during a high-net-worth divorce. We handle each case with the utmost discretion and confidentiality, protecting your personal and financial information throughout the process.
Our Approach to High-Net-Worth Divorce Cases
- Initial Consultation and Case Assessment
During your first consultation, we will assess your situation, gather key information about your assets, and discuss your primary concerns. We take the time to understand the intricacies of your financial portfolio and any specific challenges you foresee. - Valuation of Assets
Accurate valuation is crucial in high-net-worth divorces. Our firm works with professional valuers to assess the true worth of all assets involved, including businesses, properties, luxury goods, and financial investments. This ensures that the division of assets is fair and equitable. - Negotiation and Mediation
Our approach is to resolve cases amicably through negotiation whenever possible. We strive to minimize conflict and reach agreements that are mutually acceptable, reducing the emotional toll on you and your family. In cases where negotiations stall, we also offer skilled mediation services. - Court Representation
Should your case proceed to court, QFLP’s experienced litigators will represent you, ensuring that your rights and interests are fully protected. We have a proven track record of securing favorable court outcomes in high-net-worth divorce cases.
