Lauren is a lawyer at Queensland Family Law Practice, with experience across a broad range of family law matters.
Lauren takes a practical, approachable, and client-focused approach to her work. She understands that people often seek family law advice during some of the most difficult and uncertain periods of their lives. Her focus is on helping clients understand their legal position, the options available to them and the practical steps they can take to move forward with confidence.
Lauren advises and represents clients across a range of family law matters, including parenting and children’s matters, property settlements, separation and divorce, domestic and family violence, negotiation and settlement, and court proceedings. She has experience preparing court and legal documents, negotiating outcomes, briefing counsel and appearing in court.
Before focusing her practice on family law, Lauren gained experience across a number of other areas, including domestic and family violence, property matters, criminal law and estate litigation. This broader legal background gives her a valuable perspective where family law matters intersect with other legal issues.
Lauren has also worked with FIFO and mining families, as well as clients from a range of cultural and community backgrounds. She appreciates that work arrangements, family dynamics and individual circumstances can all play an important role in family law matters and takes the time to understand each client’s particular situation.
Community & Professional Experience
Lauren has a longstanding connection with rugby league and her local community. For a number of years, she served in executive committee positions with the Stanley River Rugby League Football Club. Her responsibilities included governance, liaising with government agencies, managing disputes and representing players in disciplinary and tribunal proceedings.
Through her involvement in rugby league, Lauren has developed extensive experience working with players, families, volunteers and community organisations. It has also strengthened her ability to manage difficult conversations and disputes in a practical, respectful and solution-focused way.
Lauren has volunteered with the Moreton Bay Regional Community Legal Service, where she assisted disadvantaged members of the community with legal assistance and client interviews. These experiences have reinforced her commitment to making legal advice understandable and accessible and to ensuring clients feel heard and comfortable discussing sensitive issues.
